CERTIFIED FARMS
Sustainable Farming
At Grupo Cañamás, we are committed to offering you the most environmentally friendly citrus fruits. In our GLOBALGAP and GRASP certified farms, we carry out sustainable farming that is free of residues. Fruit production is carried out without chemical treatments against insect pests from the beginning of fruit growth.
The activities of sustainable farming aim to produce a healthier and more resistant crop and to maintain a balanced ecosystem. In these processes, we always apply biotechnological methods that help us control pests without the use of phytosanitary treatments.

Use of Biological Methods
The activities of sustainable farming aim to produce a healthier and more resistant crop and to maintain a balanced ecosystem. In these processes, we always apply biotechnological methods that help us control pests without the use of phytosanitary treatments.
USE OF BENEFICIAL FAUNA
Pest Control
Our agroecological cultivation prioritizes the use of beneficial fauna (beneficial insects) for pest control. In case we have to use chemical products, we always use those that are less harmful to beneficial fauna and that degrade quickly.
USE OF BIOLOGICAL TREATMENTS
After Fruit Set
Once the fruit has set, only biological treatments will be carried out. In case it is not possible to control any pest from the end of fruit set, we would exclude this crop from our agroecological production.
SPECIFIC PACKAGING
According to Production Type
Regarding the handling of sustainable farming crops, we use specific boxes for harvesting, different from those used for conventional fruit production. Transport is also done separately. This fruit, which does not undergo any post-harvest treatment, is stored and processed in our own shelves and cold rooms, independent from the rest of the production, to avoid cross-contamination.
